Ariel Winter and her boyfriend, Levi Meaden, recently celebrated New Year’s Day today.

And what better way to commemorate the occasion than by posting an adorable photo on the actress’ social media account. Winter uploaded a photo of herself being dipped by Meaden. She captioned the snap by simply greeting all of her followers a “Happy New Year.”

Meaden did not post a photo with Winter on New Year’s Day, but he made sure to upload a series of snaps on Christmas Eve. In one of his pictures, the actor kisses Winter on the lips while standing in front of their Christmas tree. Below the tree are over 50 gifts.

Meanwhile, Winter also welcomed the New Year by hosting the Rockin’ Eve party with Ciara. The 19-year-old actress shared a snap of herself standing beside the singer on stage via her Instagram account.

In her caption, Winter asked her millions of followers to give up judgment in time for the New Year. She also encouraged everyone to live a positive year ahead.

Winter has been criticized by online trolls in recent years especially when it came to her physical appearance and the way she dresses. But the “Modern Family” star has learned the art of not caring about what other people have to say especially if it’s negative.

While speaking with Yahoo Style in April, Winter said that she’s appalled with how people react to her “racy” clothing choices because guys don’t usually get the same negative reactions.

“I feel like people put so much emphasis on it. Guys, all the time, go on their Instagrams and take pictures nude with guitars in front of their stuff. No one says anything. Nobody cares. When we try to be free and post what we want, it’s like, look at the slut on social media. That’s not what it is. We’re proud of our bodies. We’re proud of who we are. We’re made the way we are. Why do we care? If I take a picture and I think it looks good – if it’s a little revealing, whatever,” she said.
