Arsenal got a much-needed win against ten-man Bolton, as captain Robin Van Persie scored his 99th and 100th goals for the club in a 3-0 win at the Emirates.

The first half ended goalless but Arsenal came out purposefully in the second and reaped the rewards within 40 seconds. Van Persie collected Aaron Ramsey's short-pass and struck a low drive which beat Jussi Jaaskelainen.

Shortly thereafter, David Wheater tugged at Theo Walcott from behind when he was through on goal and it wasn't much of a surprise when the ref brandished a red card. With a man advantage, Arsenal surged and Van Persie got to the century mark in the 71st minute after tapping in Walcott's cross at the near post.

Alex Song added glitz to the scoreline within a minute from the end.
