Business Traveller magazine has honored Amercan Airlines at the 2010 Cellars in the Sky Awards, a wine competition, for its best white wine collection.

American Airlines won the Best Business Class White Wine category at the awards held recently in London.

American Airlines offers a wide range of fine wines onboard that helped it bag the award. Our goal is to consistently improve our customers' experience by providing unique wines to complement our inflight menus, Rob Friedman, American's Vice President – Marketing, said while expressing gratitude over the honor.

According to American, wines are chosen for flights considering the ethnic, cultural, seasonal and stylistic differences of each destination. The airline maintains over 25 different wine lists, specially selected for various routes, and has more than 60 wines available on its flights at any given time. Wine lists change regularly.

Some of the famous wines served in American Airlines flights include Chateau Villa Bel Air, Chateau Teyssier St Emilion Grand Cru, Lustau Amontillado La Plaza Viejo Sherry, Nicolas Feuillatte Brut Reserve Particuliere, Arrowood Cabernet Sauvignon, Grahams Quinta Malvedos Vintage Port and more.
