Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney faces an anxious wait for news on whether he will punished by the FA after swearing into the camera while celebrating his hat-trick in United's 4-2 win over West Ham on Saturday.

Rooney was quick to apologise and in a statement released after the game, he said, I want to apologise for any offence that may have been caused by my goal celebration, especially any parents or children that were watching.

Emotions were running high, and on reflection my heat-of-the-moment reaction was inappropriate. It was not aimed at anyone in particular.

Here's is the video of Rooney swearing into the camera after scoring the goal.
