A suicide bomber detonated a bomb on a minibus in Jalalabad, Afghanistan on Wednesday, killing 14 people and injuring more than 20.

The bus was filled with police cadets who were leaving a training academy, according to reports.

It is not known how of the people killed were civilians and how many were police.

Afghan President Hamid Karzai criticized the bombing in a statement and accused the terrorists, saying that they are becoming intimidated by the increasing strength of Afghan security forces.
