At the 71st Academy Awards in 1999, actress Christina Ricci wore a sparkling, gray dress by Versace Couture.

Last week, Kayla Staskiewicz, of Waterford, Michigan wore it to her prom.

The Associated Press is reporting, via The Oakland Press of Pontiac, that Staskiewicz was lucky enough to wear the $25,000 gown previously worn by Ricci to her prom. Ricci wore it to the Academy Awards the year Sleepy Hollow, No Vacancy and 200 Cigarettes were released. She was nominated for a Golden Globe the previous year for her role in The Opposite of Sex.

According to the report, Staskiewicz's father, Mike Staskiewicz entered his daughter's name in a WDIV-TV contest to win a chance to wear the dress.

When Staskiewicz won, her biggest concern was if the dress would fit. The dress is a size zero.

According to the report, Staskiewicz tried on the gown the day before her prom was scheduled and it fit perfectly.

Staskiewicz was quoted in the newspaper saying she felt really pretty and that her mom continuously called her Cinderella.
