Small but mighty. A video has been released of a Chihuahua who scared off armed burglars during a burglary in a Los Angeles smoke shop.

In hopes of identifying the two masked robbers, the Los Angeles County sheriff has released the surveillance video from July 7 on YouTube. The surveillance footage shows two disguised men, one with a rifle, entering a smoke shop for a heist.

After ordering the owner of Ace Smoke Shop in Altadena to hand over cash in a backpack, a Chihuahua viciously attacked one of the men during the raid.

The pair didn't make it away with much cash, according to the Los Angeles Times, because the dog seemed to scare off the thieves with its ferocious barking.

Chihuahuas are known for being the smallest breed of dogs, typically weighing less than 6 pounds, though honing a reputation for being ill tempered and easily provoked.

Though both the owner and pet were not injured in the robbery, one of the thieves pointed his rifle at the Chihuahua before being chased out of the store by the dog. The suspects have not been identified or found yet.
