NEW YORK - Mariah Carey surpassed Elvis Presley's record of 17 No.1 singles with her the song "Touch my Body, " the first single off from her new album "E=MC2" to be released in April 16.
Carey's newest single was the 18th smash-hit of her musical career that occupies the first place on Billboard's Hot 100 singles chart. "Touch my Body" brings the U.S. pop singer just behind the all time record of 20 singles hit by the Beatles.
"I really can never put myself in the category of people who have not only revolutionized music but also changed the world," Mariah said to the Associated Press.
Mariah's single is also in the first position of the magazine's list of digital downloaded songs with a record of 286.000 on her first weekend.
