LeGarrette Blount left the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' 48-3 loss to the San Francisco 49ers with a left leg injury, putting even more of a dampner on the ugly defeat.

After the game, Blount refused to discuss the injury with reporters. Buccaneers head coach Raheem Morris did offer something to reporters, but wouldn't elaborate on specifics.

I just listen to what my doctors tell me, Morris told The St. Petersburg Times, when asked if Blount could have possibly returned to the game. I know he didn't come back. He was icing down. Healthy men have to play.

Blount suffered the injury off a hit from 49ers safety Dashon Goldson in the third quarter. With Blount struggling and the Buccaneers already losing big, it's safe to say that Morris did not want to risk anything major by putting Blount back into the game.

But that said, Blount's status for Week 6 against the Saints is uncertain. Without Blount in the lineup, Earnest Graham took the bulk of the third-quarter carries before Kregg Lumpkin and Allen Bradford saw time in the fourth quarter.

Blount had only rushed 10 times for 34 yards, but he had broken out as a contributor this season for the Buccaneers, who with Sunday's loss are now 3-2. He's still 13th in the NFL in rushing with 328 yards on the season.

The Buccaneers have a crucial contest coming up next Sunday against the 4-1 Saints, and then welcome Chicago the next week before their bye.
