Ellen Keith
Phoenix, by Keith Urban (and Ellen DeGeneres)! The Ellen DeGeneres Show

Keith Urban has a new fragrance (because every celebrity has to have one). It's called Phoenix (It's hot. But it's a dry heat.) And Ellen DeGeneres thinks this is pretty funny (so she decided to see just how hot Phoenix is in a hilarious new ad campaign).

If you've seen any of the ridiculously dramatic, overly sexual commercials for celebrity fragrances on television, you will find DeGeneres' and Urban's spoof hilarious.

The video debuted on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Wednesday when Urban stopped by the show as a guest.

In the video, Urban stands in an unbuttoned black shirt and black jeans with a wind machine blowing dramatically across his hair as he holds his new fragrance for men, Phoenix.

DeGeneres, wearing a long blond wig and white robe, proceeds to do all sorts of faux-sexy maneuvers on Urban with a bowl of ice. She licks his face, feeds him an ice cube, and sprays him down with a water bottle. Remarkably, the country crooner keeps a straight face through it all.

All the while, an airy voice whispers buzz words:

Phoenix. Burning. Scorching. Sexy. Sultry. Searing. Fiery. Phoenix.

Urban, who is married to Nicole Kidman, sat down with DeGeneres after the clip aired.

You know that you're the only women on the planet that would be okay with my wife, he said.

I don't know. She may get jealous of that, DeGeneres responded.

Urban launched his men's fragrance in August. The DeGeneres' video follows the same themes as Urban's actual commercials, which similarly mock typical celebrity colognes ads.

While the spoof implies that the fragrance is named after the city, Urban actually named it after a phoenix tattoo on his left arm.

I've always loved symbolism and mythology, the symbolism of the phoenix being something that succumbs to the challenges and burns in the fire, but then is resurrected from the ashes and rises up even stronger than before, Urban told Women's Wear Daily when the fragrance first launched.

Phoenix is infused with blackberries, cognac and plum and is described as having a woody oriental scent.
