An employee of the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has been arrested and charged with sexual assault against a woman in his hometown of Manassas, Va., police report.

Harold Glenn Rodman, 52, is accused of sexually assaulting a middle-aged woman on Nov. 20, around 3:25 a.m., and is currently in custody. Reports indicate he lived only a few blocks away from his victim.

Horrific Attack

Reports say Rodman approached two women on the street where he lived, in the 10500 block of Winfield Loop, Manassas.

One of the women stayed in the car unaware that anything was happening. The second, seeing Rodman in uniform, stepped out of the vehicle, where he allegedly showed her his TSA badge.

Rodman allegedly grabbed the woman and dragged her some ways away before violently assaulting her, possibly multiple times. He then fled on foot.

Police responded quickly to reports of sexual assault. During a canvass of the scene, the accused was spotted exiting his Manassas, Va. residence on the very block where the attack occurred. His description matched that of the attacker.

The accused was subsequently arrested in connection with the incident, police told The Washington Post.

The victim of the sexual assault is a 37-year-old woman also from Manassas, Va. Her identity has not be disclosed.

Held Without Bond

Harold Rodman was held without bond Nov. 21 with a court date set for January. Details of the alleged sexual assault are still unclear, but court records show Rodman accused of horrific sexual assault charges.

The TSA employee is charged with aggravated sexual battery, object sexual penetration, forcible sodomy and abduction with the intent to defile.

Police said they did not know where Rodman worked for the Transportation Security Administration or in what capacity. A TSA spokesman was not immediately available for comment.

TSA Sex Crimes

This is only the latest incident involving a TSA worker accused of committing sex crimes.

In September 2011, TSA employee David Ralph Anderson, 61, was arrested at the Elko Area Regional Airport in Elko County, Nev. and was charged with six counts of lewdness with a minor.

Anderson had been under investigation since July, when the Elko County Sheriff's Office began to investigate allegations of sexual contact between the TSA worker and a young local girl.
