It's not truly the holiday season until you've received an awkward Christmas card from your friends, relatives or neighbors, and that's a sentiment sites like Awkward Family Photos takes to heart.

One can only hope they're texting each other how much they love seeing their family for Christmas and New Years.

This couple is obviously excited about their (possible) Christmas baby, but half-nude holiday cards are always something you should think twice about. And then a third time. And then a fourth.

We're not sure what's more unsettling about this photo: the fact that this family has a God complex, that the two children on the bottom left are zombies, or that the guy in blue is ruining the Manger Aesthetic.

San Juan's mayor Jorge Santini sent out several Christmas cards with stuffed dead animals on the front, but this iconic photo of a jaguar taking down an antelope is what the holidays are really about.

We've gotta hand it to him. That man loves his cat.

Not content with a simple, simply awkward family photo, this group decided to add seventy dogs and some marble columns to the mix.

Is this fake? It's probably fake... Who cares? We love it.

Though the family in this snow globe looks happy, this winter image doesn't say "Happy Holidays!" so much as it says "I'm a Genie in a Snow Globe." And that's not an image we're comfortable with.

While we appreciate holiday puns, there's no getting around the fact that these Christmas elves are miserable... and we can't blame them.

Despite the fact that this photo must have taken hours to assemble, the little star-girl on top still looks like she's seconds away from falling. And whatever happened to just grouping together in a semi circle?!

... never had such a sinister ring to it. That outfit is about ten times the appropriateness level for a Christmas card, especially when paired with such adorable children.

We'd love to hate this holiday greeting card. For the children's sake, at least. But we... just... can't.

Honestly, this photo wouldn't be awkward so much as awesome if it weren't for (a) the two kids in the front, who look woefully out of place, and (b) Santa Claus in the middle, looking like a Kris Kringle gangster surrounded by Tim Burton rejects.

Repeat after us. Holiday baby? Adorable. Holiday baby in Christmas hat? Priceless. Holiday baby in Christmas hat, drowning in the neighborhood pool? ... Awkward Family Photo gold.

We're not sure what happened to the photo quality, why there's a creepy Santa Claus in the window, or why that little reminds of of Linda Blair in "The Exorcist" (okay... we can answer that one). But for awkward family photos this Christmas, this picture might just take the cake.
