As last minute shoppers scramble to find the perfect present and stocking stuffers, many popular stores have decided to change their holiday hours. On Christmas Eve, some stores have extended holiday shopping hours, while others will close early. While most stores will be closed on Christmas Day, there may be a few exceptions.

What stores will be open on Christmas Eve 2011?

CVS: The store has more than 6,200 locations nationwide and offers extended hours for the holidays. Most will be open until at least 6 p.m. and 24-hour stores may be open later depending on the location. Over 4,000 CVS stores are expected to be open on Christmas Day. Call 1-800-SHOP-CVS to find out if the CVS near you will be open.

Costco: All stores will close at 5 p.m. on Christmas Eve and will reopen for business on Mon., Dec. 26.

Target: The megastore will be open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Christmas Eve, but will be closed on Christmas Day. To confirm the details of your local Target, check their store locator.

Best Buy: Stores will be open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Christmas Eve, but will be closed on Christmas Day. Check your local Best Buy hours for details.

Toys R Us: Last year, Toys R US stayed open until 10 p.m. on Christmas Eve. This year it looks like most locations will be closed by 6 p.m., with stores closed on Christmas Day as well. To check the details of your local Toys R Us, use their store locator.

Walgreens: Most stores will have regular hours on Christmas Eve (9 a.m. to 6 p.m.) and depending on the location they may even be open on Christmas Day. Check your local store to be sure to get the correct hours.

Walmart: Most stores will close at 6 p.m., but some may stay open as late as 8 p.m. All stores will be closed on Christmas Day. Check the store finder for your nearest Walmart.

Kmart: Kmart stores stayed open last year until 10 p.m. This year it looks like stores will continue the tradition and be open until 10 p.m. as well. Kmart will be closed on Christmas Day. Check the store locator for the Kmart nearest you.

Macy's: Some Macy's locations will be closing at midnight on Christmas Eve while others will remain open until 2 a.m. The store will be closed on Christmas Day. For details, check your local store.
