Joseph Gordon-Levitt to Direct Scarlett Johansson in ‘Sexy Comedy’

Joseph Gordon-Levitt is solidifying his reputation as Hollywood's Renaissance man du jour: The "50/50" actor has announced his feature directorial debut, which he wrote and will star in alongside Scarlett Johansson.

Deadline.com first reported the movie news, adding that Gordon-Levitt was tight-lipped on the details. He told the site the movie was a 'sexy comedy' about a 'modern day Don Juan' who works to improve himself (presumably with the help of his leading lady).

Gordon-Levitt got his start on the sitcom "Third Rock From the Sun" and recently catapulted to A-list stardom via roles in "Inception" and "500 Days of Summer."

Gordon-Levitt told Deadline.com that directing has long been the goal.

"I was a child actor for years and quit at 19, went to school a while, and a big part of why I came back was that I ultimately wanted to make movies," Gordon-Levitt said. "I spent a year working with Chris Nolan, Rian Johnson, Steven Spielberg, and I did my best to pay attention. I've also been making short films for a long time now, I've directed a ton of them, and that is a huge part of why I feel comfortable and confident in this."
