Howard Davies-Carr in 2007 shot a 56 second video of his two sons and uploaded it on YouTube to share it with a family friend.

The video, 'Charlie Bit My Finger,' shows Charlie sitting with Harry and biting his finger. Harry laughs, Charlie bites him again, Harry cries, and then Charlie laughs.

Even had I thought of trying to get my boys to do this I probably couldn't have. Neither were coerced into any of this and neither were hurt (for very long anyway). This was just one of those moments when I had the video camera out because the boys were being fun and they provided something really very funny, Howard Davies-Carr wrote on YouTube account.

The video went viral on YouTube. It has been viewed 417.6 million times and has now become the most watched non-commercial video in YouTube history, New York Times reported.

The newspaper has checked in on the UK family that has become famous since 2007. It has found that the two brothers - Harry, now 7, and Charlie, 5 - have become a brand of their own.

I have watched this at least 100 times and I still laugh while watching it, New York Times reported quoting a viewer named Hannahjp100.

Davies-Carr said that the video had brought in more than $158,000 for the family and enough to pay for the boys education. Davies-Carr is a YouTube partner which means that the family shares in advertising revenue generated by the site.

Also a new Charlie app is in the works for iPhone and Android devices, he added.

I wouldn't be upset if people stopped watching. People bring their own view and make assumptions based on no knowledge of us, but we've gone beyond the point where we can be angry at what they say, said Davies-Carr.
