Rose Monday Carnival Parade: Germany's Fancy Street Fest Floats Satirical Messages, Pokes fun at Sarkozy (PHOTOS)

Scores of carnival revelers carried out vibrant huge parades on the streets of Cologne, Düsseldorf and Mainz, as a part of traditional German street fest Monday.

The colorful and fancy German carnival is known for its unconventional way of enlightening and illustrating their views to the masses.

Decked in colorful costumes, revelers took to the streets with papier-mache dummies mocking politicians and satirical messages on social issues, marching down the lanes of Germany.

One of the major highlights of the fest was a 3D cartoon of German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Nicolas Sarkozy, exemplifying the close French-German relationship with a pinch of satire.

Check out the snapshots of the vibrant German carnival.
