ASUS has revealed a new version of the Transformer Prime - the TF700T - with improvements over the original models, including the introduction of the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

The most significant upgrade here is a move to a 1920 x 1200 resolution, which will make the display sharper and brighter. The rear cover design has also been altered, to allow for better GPS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth performance. It runs on the Nvidia Tegra 3 Mobile Processor with a 1.3GHz Quad core Cortex A9 and 12-core GeForce GPU.

It has a rear-facing 8 megapixel auto-Focus camera with dedicated LED Flash and a 2 megapixel front-facing camera for video chats. It comes with the option of a 32GB or 64GB internal memory capacities, plus 8GB of ASUS Web Storage.

The dimensions are 263 x 180.8 x 8.3mm and it has a weight of 586g. It has a 10.1 inch, 1080p touch screen, which will be useful for entertainment, media and gaming functions.

The TF700T is priced at $599 for the 32GB model and $699 for the 64GB model. The new model is expected to be available in the U.S. markets, sometime in the second quarter.
