The Asus ZenPad S 8.0 was officially unveiled in June and now is available for U.S customers for purchase through Best Buy. The retail giant is selling the slate with a very reasonable starting price tag of $199.99.

According to a report from Liliputing, the performance prowess of the ZenPad S 8.0 is better than Samsung's Galaxy Tab A 8.0. Moreover, it comes with an affordable price. The Asus ZenPad S 8.0 comes with an 8-inch LED backlight IPS display that supports a high resolution of 1,536 x 2,048 pixels.

The device is powered by an Intel Atom Z3530 chip that features a 64-bit quad-core processor. It is supported by 2 GB of RAM. The ZenPad S 8.0 is available in internal storage variants of 32 GB.

The device supports up to 128 GB of microSD external storage. The rear camera is 5 MP and the front-facing camera is 2 MP. The device supports only Wi-Fi connectivity but does not support mobile data.

The Asus ZenPad S 8.0 comes preinstalled with Android 5.1 Lollipop. It is overlaid with the proprietary Zen UI software from Asus.
