Sal Bentivegna, an atheist who mocked God by sarcastically praying for his mother to win the lottery, is no longer an atheist.

His joke prayer was amazingly answered when his mother won $1 million dollars the next day on the New York Lottery Sweet Million game.

The 28-year-old had sarcastically asked his mother to ask your God for a million dollars.

But his mother Gloria Bentivegna, who stays true to her belief, refused to ask God for such a thing.

So he took his joke one step further and mockingly prayed God, I don't know if you're real or not, but if you are there, please let my mother win a million dollars, adding If Jesus wants me to believe in him, that's what he'll do.

The next day, Gloria bought a Lotto Tree of unscratched instant win tickets from her church's charity auction.

And she was the winner of the million.

Sal was absolutely stunned. Realizing that the odds of winning were so farfetched, Sal has since become a believer.

I can't shrug off that Jesus had a hand in it, Sal explains. No pun intended, but it was a Godsend, he said.

Gloria is not only thankful for her surprise win, but even more thankful that her son is now a believer. She testified God performed two miracles, a true miracle.
