The Atlanta Hawks are soaring, and a fifth consecutive win appears to be within reach if they can thwart the New York Knicks, who are out to bounce back from a loss.

The Hawks will play host to the Knicks on Friday, January 20 at the State Farm Arena in a battle of teams coming off different last-game results.

On one end is the Hawks who booked their fourth-straight victory at the expense of the Dallas Mavericks, 130-122.

DeJounte Murray led the charge, finishing with 30 points seven rebounds, and four assists.

Lending him a helping hand was Trae Young, who had a double-double performance of 18 markers, 12 assists, and three steals.

"These are the things we were looking for or have been looking for with [Murray] and Trae," Hawks coach Nate McMillan said. "Trae did a good job... understanding that [Murray] had a hot hand, was feeling it, and was in a rhythm and we tried to milk that."

The Hawks are 21st in the league on offense with a rating of 112.2. Defensively, they are allowing the opposition 16 points per game and 47.2% from the field, the 14th lowest in the NBA at the moment.

On the other hand, the Knicks are hoping to bounce back to their winning ways after dropping a 105-116 decision to the Washington Wizards.

In that loss, Jalen Brunson manned the offense with 32 points and four assists.

RJ Barrett backed him up with 21 markers and seven boards.

"They had guys coming back into the lineup tonight, so they were amped up to play and they played great," Barrett stated.

The Knicks hold an adjusted offensive rating of 114.8, the 10th highest in the league. They also own an adjusted defensive grade of 112.8.

The Hawks are -3 spread favorites to prevail over the Knicks with a +3 rating.

Meanwhile, the Moneyline is -150 for Atlanta and +130 for New York.

The tip-off is set for 7:30 PM ET with a live telecast over the NBA League Pass and fuboTV.
