Pop singer Austin Mahone was rushed to the hospital on Thursday but it is unclear why. The 20-year-old posted an image of himself in the hospital on Instagram. Mahone’s caption for the image was short but he expressed exactly how he felt: "I've never felt so bad,” he wrote.

More than 266,000 fans liked the photo where Mahone held up a peace sign. The singer’s face was glum, and Internet users could see he was hooked up to IVs.

A source told People.com that the teen star was taken for medical care at 9 a.m. on Thursday morning. He had felt sick for a few days and then took a turn for the worse. "It's unclear what the singer's condition is at this time," that same source added.

According to Zap2it.com, Mahone’s health is the main concern at this point, but it has already effected his tour, which was supposed to start on the same day he was taken to the hospital. The news site said the tour could be postponed until early 2014.

Mahone’s claim to fame is being a YouTube celebrity in 2011. He recently made news when he linked up with Camila Cabello from Fifth Harmony after the two reportedly met at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards at the Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn, N.Y.

As soon as fans found out about the singer’s unknown illness, they took to Twitter and made #prayforaustin a trending topic on the mini-blog. Fans are wishing for Mahone to feel better and many are questioning what happened to the young singer for him to end up in the hospital. Many were understanding about Mahone missing tonight’s concert and said things like “tour dates can be replaced but my idol cannot.”

Check out some of their tweets, which have been posted below. Get well soon, Austin!
