A Florida man allegedly got high off the synthetic drug K-2 and sprayed a baby with Windex over the weekend, authorities said Monday.

Christopher Rounds, 25, of Cape Coral, Fla., was arrested after the 6-month-old girl was taken to the hospital Sunday with cuts to her face and her body doused with Windex, according to a news release from the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office. The Florida man is facing aggravated child abuse in connection with the incident. He was also charged with disorderly conduct for allegedly threatening sheriff’s deputies and two neighbors who called authorities.

Florida television station WWSB reported that Rounds is a resident of Cape Coral, Fla.

It’s unclear if Rounds is the father of the child, but the sheriff’s office said the baby’s mother woke up to the child crying on Sunday morning when she discovered the cuts and her daughter covered in Windex. She and a witness told the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office that Rounds was the only person awake when her daughter was crying.

“The baby’s mother and a witness explained that the little girl was sleeping in her crib when they went to bed Saturday night, but they woke up Sunday morning to the sound of her crying harder than normal,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement. “When the mother turned on the light she saw cuts to the baby’s face and near one of her eyes and that the crib had been moved into the living room.”

The baby’s mother said Rounds smoked the synthetic marijuana drug K2 earlier in the day and that he was drinking and having anxiety attacks about caring for the baby.
