The new season of “The Bachelor” is still a couple of months away, but fans of the ABC franchise can rest easy knowing that filming has begun! That’s right, star Ben Higgins is starting his journey to find love with 25 gorgeous and single women.

Robert Mills, Senior Vice President of alternative series, specials and late-night programming, took to Twitter early Friday morning to tease the return of the popular dating franchise. He posted the following message:

Based on his tweet, it sounds like the Season 20 contestants had yet to meet Ben, who won viewers over while competing for Kaitlyn Bristowe’s heart on Season 11 of “The Bachelorette.” However, a photo posted by blogger Reality Steve also teases that the new cast members may be close to filming the first cocktail party/ rose ceremony elimination.

Reality Steve wrote that the girls were headed to “The Bachelor” mansion.

For those unfamiliar with Ben, he’s a 26-year-old software salesman from Denver, Colorado. He made it all the way to the final three before getting eliminated by Kaitlyn in a tearful rose ceremony.

“It breaks my heart doing it,” she told “The Bachelorette” host Chris Harrison before revealing her decision.

Although it was a hard move, Kaitlyn ultimately revealed that she had a stronger connection with Shawn Booth and Nick Viall. However, Kaitlyn and Ben ended things on a good note.

“When I’m with you, life is good,” Ben said before leaving. “I would love to be able to share life longer with you, but that’s not going to happen. And that will be tough. It will not be easy not seeing you.”

Ben Higgins was announced as the 2016 star of “The Bachelor” in August. Season 20 premieres in January 2016.
