All is fair in love and paradise. ABC’s newest reality show, “Bachelor in Paradise,” is off to a hot start with two shocking rose ceremonies in episodes 1 and 2. The trend will continue into episode 3 when not one, but two cast members “unexpectedly” get eliminated.

According to a synopsis for episode 3, the Aug. 18 episode will find Marquel as the hot commodity in Mexico. The Las Vegas resident from Andi’s season of “The Bachelorette” has developed a relationship with single mom Michelle M. from Brad’s season of “The Bachelor,” however a new cast member will threaten to shake up that union. This mysterious new bachelorette will be waiting at the house with a date card following the dramatic episode 2 rose ceremony – and “she knows exactly what she wants.” Marquel’s admirer will ask him out on a date, and despite whatever he has with Michelle M., he’ll accept to accompany her to Hacienda Uayamon in Campeche.

Michelle M. won’t be sitting around paradise pouting over Marquel’s date. The single mom will explore other options, planning a “romantic double date with her crush, Robert,” and Clare and Zack.

Elise will land the second date card of episode 3. Because her initial hookup, Dylan, is now gone, Elise will look to continue her flirty relationship with Chris B. The supposed “player” will accept the date card, which is a little more serious than the previous date cards. Instead of an afternoon or night trip, the date card invites Elise and Chris B. to go on a romantic overnight stay at Hacienda Puerta Campeche. But in an unfortunate twist, Chris B. will sustain a “debilitating injury that could put their date and his time in paradise in jeopardy.”

While Elise’s date is up in the air, Marquel will return from his date only to be asked out again by the second new cast arrival. Marquel will agree to the date and head out with the sexy newcomer to the Edzna Ruins.

The fourth and final date card for episode 3 will arrive for AshLee. The former contestant from Sean’s season of “The Bachelor” will of course ask Graham, however Graham has “some reservations” about going on an overnight date with AshLee.

The episode will conclude with the third rose ceremony, but this time the guys will be handing out the roses. Six men – Marquel, Robert, Graham, Zack, Chris B., and Marcus – will choose the women they want to keep around, resulting in the elimination of two ladies. However the synopsis teases that the episode will feature a “shocking twist” that will result in two unexpected people leaving.

Episode 3 of “Bachelor in Paradise” will air on ABC on Monday, Aug. 18, at 8 p.m. EDT. Who do you want to see sent home? What couples are you rooting for? Tweet your thoughts to @AmandaTVScoop.
