What an emotional rollercoaster for JoJo Fletcher. The 24-year-old real estate agent from Dallas was dumped and then named the next star of "The Bachelorette" all in one night.

The exciting announcement about the 2016 star came after the Season 20 finale of "The Bachelor." Ben Higgins may have confessed his love to JoJo, but he couldn't propose to her when it came down to the final rose ceremony. He told that he was more in love with Lauren.

JoJo and Ben came face-to-face for the first time during "The Bachelor: After the Final Rose" special, which aired live directly after the finale. After having a conversation with host Chris Harrison about how difficult it was to watch the episode, she admitted that everything happens for a reason and that she's happy for Ben and Lauren.

That's when Chris Harrison revealed to the crowd that he was going to announce the next star of "The Bachelorette." Attempting to fake everyone out by pointing off stage, "The Bachelor" host confirmed that JoJo was going to be the 2016 lead!

"It's crazy," she told the audience. "I'm so excited."

JoJo's casting news comes after weeks of speculation that previously eliminated contestant Caila Quinn was going to be the next star of "The Bachelorette." Multiple photos surfaced online showing camera crews filming in Caila's hometown of Hudson, Ohio. Fans assumed that the cameras were there to film "The Bachelorette" intro.
