The Toronto Blue Jays battered Bartolo Colon in the sixth inning and beat the New York Yankees 7-3 last night in Yankee Stadium.

Jose Bautista walked twice and knocked a solo home run 419 feet in to left field and J.P. Arencibia cleared the bases with a 3-RBI double in the sixth to bury the Yanks. Colon earned six of the runs scored by Toronto and dropped to 2-3 on the season.

Curtis Granderson walked three times and scored three runs to lead the Yankees, but Colon's poor outing was too much to overcome. Carlos Villanueva picked up a spot start for the Blue Jays and steered them through five innings before handing the game over to a committee of relief pitchers who held the Yankees off enough for the win.

Jorge Posada, the designated hitter for New York, went 0 for 4 to drop his batting average to .176, putting him at 187th in batting in Major League Baseball.
