Norma will have her hands full trying to protect Norman in episode 7 of "Bates Motel." A&E

WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD! Do NOT continue reading unless you watched episode 6 of “Bates Motel.”

Only three episodes remain in Season 2 of “Bates Motel” and things are getting INTENSE. The bodies are piling up in White Pine Bay, and episode 7 will continue to explore the latest death … while looking back at an old one.

For those that missed episode 6, “Plunge” found Norman diving off the deep end with his split personality. The normally quiet and shy boy took a frightening turn with Cody, blacking out in her closet as they hid from her father, and later going off in a fit of rage because she peer-pressured Emma. But his temper didn’t end there.

Cody told Emma about Norman’s blackouts, leading Emma to call Norma. After Norma discovered that her son was having blackouts again, she informed his driving test instructor, forcing Norman to wait three years before becoming eligible again. Norman immediately went to Cody’s house to confront her … ultimately leading him to push Cody’s dad down a flight of stairs.

On top of Norman’s breakdown, Norma ended up winning the open seat on the town board, and grew closer to George while cutting ties with Nick Ford. Dylan, on the other hand, found himself getting seduced by his hot boss, who also put him in charge of babysitting Zane.

So, where does that leave “Bates Motel” fans for episode 7? According to a leaked synopsis, “Norma’s faith in Norman is questioned.” But is that before or after she finds out about his potentially deadly encounter with Cody’s father? The promo video for “Presumed Innocent” shows Norman at the police station explaining that “it was an accident,” however a second clip previews him confronting his mother about the blackouts.

“I’m protecting you,” Norma desperately tries to explain to her son. “I know you better than anyone.”

It’s unclear what state Norman’s relationship with his mother will be, but his romance with Cody will definitely be addressed. After that frightening showdown in episode 6, Cody can be seen kissing Norman in episode 7. However, the promo shows Norma confronting Cody in a bathroom, and the synopsis teases that Norman and Cody’s friendship will reach the “breaking point.”

Dylan will also find one of his relationships in trouble. While he saved Zane’s life in episode 5, the man is no longer grateful … and wants revenge against Dylan. But is it because Dylan is sneakily running things per the request of Zane’s sister? Or does Zane just not like the fact that Dylan is hanging around (and hooking up) with his sister?

Meanwhile Miss Watson’s murder case will resurface in episode 7 as well. Sheriff Romero previously pinned the murder on an “innocent” criminal, but new evidence in the murder of “B” will lead him to once again look into the case. Could that new evidence possibly have to do with Norman’s run in with Cody’s father?

Episode 7, “Presumed Innocent,” will air on A&E on April 14 at 10 p.m. EDT. What do you think will happen on “Bates Motel”? Let us know your thoughts and theories in the comments section or send a tweet to @AmandaTVScoop.
