We take a look at some of the spectacular photos from the Grimsvotn Vocano eruption.

The volcano is one of Iceland's most active volcanoes. It erupted on May 21, sending ash plume 12 miles high.

The incident caused Keflavik, Iceland's largest airport to close and other European airports to put a halt on flights.

The last time the volcano erupted with such force was back in 1902.
