“The Real Housewives of New York City” Season 9 premiere is finally here. Only time will tell what’s in store for the Bravo cast, but one thing’s for sure — it’s going to be a wild ride.

Bethenny Frankel, who returned to “RHONY” in Season 7, gave E! Online a preview of what to expect. The Skinnygirl Cocktails CEO called Season 9 “an emotional roller coaster.” She assured “RHONY” fans that the group’s dynamic is a unique one.

“This season is an emotional roller coaster. It feels like we’re in some messed up therapy session, like, with an unlicensed therapist. It’s a roller coaster ride and some people do go off the rails,” she said. “It’s really funny though. We have a really interesting type of dynamic. I mean, we have one married ‘Housewife,’ and it almost didn’t happen. We have one married ‘Housewife’ who, six out of seven ‘Housewives’ weren’t at the wedding.”

Joining the “RHONY” cast this season is New York socialite Tinsley Mortimer. Much of her storyline will revolve around the cast getting to know her and the baggage that comes with her. Longtime cast member LuAnn de Lesseps tells People she may struggle, but she’ll figure it out.

“You know how socialites, you know them just a little? You’re aware of them, you meet them, you don’t get to spend a heck of a lot of time with them, you don’t get to spend a heck of a lot of time with them or get to know them really well,” she told People. “So I think her biggest challenge is integrating with a group of women like this, who have a history and have many years of working together and being friends...really just infiltrating the cast.”

She’s joining the cast at the right time, it seems. “RHONY” star Dorinda Medley told E! Season 9 was all about mending relationships. There will be feuding, but far less of a divide than in Season 8.

“This season...people reconcile the relationships that maybe went wrong last year. New friendships are made, and it’s not such a bifurcated group. Last year, I felt there was Team A and Team B and if you were Team B, you couldn’t be friends with Team A. You’re going to see a lot more crossover and much more interaction with people you wouldn’t expect,” she said.
