Bethenny Frankel is known for her slim figure and has built her empire around being skinny. But the 43-year-old mother may have taken things too far on Sunday. The former “Real Housewives of New York City” faced backlash after posting a picture on Instagram.

The photo showed Frankel wearing a “Hello Kitty” pajama top and shorts. But the issue was that the clothes belonged to her 4-year-old daughter, Bryn. “This is my daughter’s nightgown and PJ shorts. Think we’re ready to start sharing clothes yet?” the caption read.

Though the photo received nearly 10,000 likes, many comments were negative. “Disgusting … fine role model MOM!” @nad_jenny wrote. “Wow, way to go, you just destroyed the last 50 years of women who are struggling with body issues, get help [sic]!” @lindadennison opined.

In 2009, Frankel built an empire on being skinny. She wrote two books about how to stay thin without dieting and released an exercise DVD. By 2011, she created the Skinnygirl cocktail company, a low-calorie alcohol brand. Frankel later sold the company for an estimated $100 million.

While Frankel is known for her petite figure, many fans still were displeased that she thought it was necessary to show that she could fit into her prepubescent daughter’s clothing. Frankel responded to the controversy by posting a sarcastic message on Twitter Monday. “BREAKING NEWS! World Scandal: Former reality star, failed talk show host & cocktail maven jokes by wearing her kids’ pjs! #itcantbetrue.”
