The marriage crisis of Beyoncé and Jay Z is now well known though the couple has not directly responded to rumors they plan to divorce after their “On The Run” tour ends in September. Sunday night, however, the “Drunk in Love” singer was reportedly overcome with emotion as she appeared in a wedding dress and veil and sang a song about a cheating husband, Radar Online reported.

An unidentified source told the news site tears welled in the singer’s eyes during the Los Angeles show. The song “Resentment” has been apart of the “On The Run” tour all summer, but at the Pasadena Rose Bowl Sunday her emotions almost took over after reports surfaced she and her husband no longer stay in the same hotel room.

“She looked like she had been crying from the time the concert began,” the source told Radar Online. “Her eyes were really glassy and red, and it looked like she was just going through the motions on stage. When she finally sat down to sing ‘Resentment,’ she looked like she was ready to let it out.

“She never really got her energy up again after that and only smiled one or two more times during the rest of the concert,” the insider continued. “Any time she interacted with Jay Z, it seemed like she was just going through the motions. The strain between them was obvious!”

During the song, Beyoncé, 33, sings, “I know she was attractive but I was here first.” In Sunday's rendition, she “stopped after the word ‘but’ and gestured at her own body in frustration,” the insider said. “Not long after, she stopped singing and seemed overcome with emotion. The camera was cut in tight so you could literally see her eyes welling up before she closed them and attempted to collect herself.”

At one point during the performance, the source said Beyoncé didn’t even hold the microphone to her mouth. Instead, she just belted out the lyrics. The source said she “really seemed lost in her own world.”

Some reports speculated the couple is close to breaking up and Beyonce is looking for apartments in New York City without husband Jay Z.
