Sheldon (Jim Parsons) and Amy (Mayim Bialik) will tell Mary Cooper (Laurie Metcalf) that they have moved in together in “Big Bang Theory” Season 10, episode 12. CBS

“Big Bang Theory” Season 10, episode 12 will focus on Sheldon (Jim Parsons) and Amy (Mayim Bialik) telling Leonard (Johnny Galecki) and Penny (Kaley Cuoco) what happened during their recent trip to Texas.

Since Howard (Simon Helberg) and Bernadette’s (Melissa Rauch) baby girl arrived, the group has gone on their separate ways to celebrate the holidays. Sheldon and Amy decided to go the former’s hometown. Unfortunately, their vacation turned out to be a terrible one. Sheldon will also reunite with his mom, Mary (Laurie Metcalf), in episode 12. However, when Sheldon tells Mary that he and Amy are now living together, the matriarch won’t be pleased with her son’s decision.

Meanwhile, Penny and Leonard’s Christmas also won’t proceed as planned. What starts off as a good day will take a downward spiral too quickly when the couple decides to chop down their own Christmas tree. They soon realize that they have a lot of differences, especially when it comes to strategizing and making decisions.

Elsewhere, first-time parents, Howard and Bernadette, will be staying home with their daughter, Hallie. The infant won’t stop crying, and the couple would have to figure out what to do with her.

While speaking with TV Line, showrunner Steve Molaro explained their decision to not show Hallie on screen. Instead, viewers of the hit CBS sitcom only heard the sound of an infant crying. “She is a loving tribute to her grandmother – this is a nice way for us to keep Mrs. Wolowitz (Carol Ann Susi) alive. It also means we don’t have to have a baby on the set, so it solved lots of problems,” he said.

“Big Bang Theory” Season 10, episode 12 will air on CBS on Jan. 5, 2017 at 8 p.m. EST.
