“Big Bang Theory” Season 11 just aired a new episode on Thursday, which showed Bernadette (Melissa Rauch) giving birth to her and Howard’s (Simon Helberg) second child.

In the episode, the couple decided to name their baby Neil Michael Wolowitz. In the previous season, Bernadette gave birth to her and Howard’s daughter, Hallie, but the baby girl has not been shown on the screen. Hallie was a tribute to Howard’s mother, Debbie, who was only heard on the show, but never seen either.

Neil Michael, on the other hand, is not a tribute to anyone so it’s possible for the baby boy to be shown in future episodes. However, “Big Bang Theory” boss, Steve Holland, said that he’s not a fan of having babies on set so it’s something that he still needs to figure out.

“It makes me feel terrible for them, so I’m not super excited to have someone haul their newborn twins and shove them in front of a camera. But certainly the babies and having two babies will be a part of some upcoming episodes for Howard and Bernadette,” he told Entertainment Tonight.

Meanwhile, Holland also talked about Penny (Kaley Cuoco) and Leonard’s (Johnny Galecki) and Sheldon (Jim Parsons) and Amy’s (Mayim Bialik) plans to have a baby. Penny and Leonard are already married and having a baby is the next step to their relationship.

However, Holland said that they’ve already shown two pregnancy stories in “Big Bang Theory” during two consecutive seasons, so it’s difficult to get excited for another pregnancy storyline.

“But at the same time, these characters have to feel like real people and they’re in relationships and married. These are actual conversations that they would have and next steps that they would have, so we’ll see,” he said.

“Big Bang Theory” Season 11 airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. EST on CBS.
