Following Thursday night’s live eviction, Cody Nickson was sent home, but was informed by host Julie Chen that he will get the chance to return to the game next Friday. Chen added that Cody will be joined by former evicted houseguests, Cameron Heard and Jillian Parker, as well as whichever houseguest will be evicted next Thursday. However, the houseguests that are still in the game have no idea that there will be a Battle Back competition in the coming days.

Also on Thursday night, Alex was named HOH and was tasked to put up two houseguests for eviction on Friday. Alex decided to nominate Jessica Graf and Dominique Cooper for very obvious reasons. Jessica is Cody’s new girlfriend, and they have been associated with each other since the beginning of “Big Brother” Season 19. After Cody was targeted by Paul Abrahamian, it seems predictable that Jessica will be next on the chopping block.

Meanwhile, Dominique put herself at risk after she hosted a fictional talk show inside the “Big Brother” house. During her interview with Cody, Dominique revealed that there’s a huge alliance in the house. The members of the alliance, namely, Paul, Matt Clines, Mark Jansen and their respective female partners plus Christmas Abbott, were all shocked by this move. By the looks of it, Dominique didn’t expect that what she said could be detrimental to her chances to stay in the game. But it definitely is, and Alex is smart enough to catch on.

Prior to Jessica or Dominique’s eviction, one houseguest who will receive this week’s Den of Temptation, a.k.a. the Halting Hex, will be revealed on Sunday night. The recipient of the Halting Hex will have the power to stop any eviction ceremony from taking place. He or she will also have the power to prevent an evicted houseguest from returning to the game.

“Big Brother” Season 19 will return to CBS on Sunday at 8 p.m. EDT.
