After canceling yesterday's Central Park performance due to safety issues concerning the lightning New York was experiencing, the band performed a mini private concert where they freestyled 'Just Can't Get Enough.'

Roughly 20,000 fans waited in the sweltering heat and intense rainfalls yesterday to watch The Black Eyed Peas perform for the Robin Hood Foundation benefit.

The Robin Hood Foundation's mission is to fight poverty in New York City, and enlisted the musicians for their concert where fans would be encouraged to donate funds via text message throughout the concert.

After hours of waiting, it turned out the group was unable to come out and perform.

In a statement, the Robin Hood Foundation said, As much as we hate poverty, we hate the idea of putting anyone's safety at risk. Which is why, due to inclement weather, the Concert 4 NYC . . . was officially canceled by the City of New York.

On the event details at Black Eyed Peas NYC it stated that the concert would take place at 7:30 PM, rain or shine. Unfortunately, the committee didn't foresee lightning.

Taylor Swift was also scheduled to perform with the group.

In a previous statement, Fergie of The Black Eyed Peas said, We are thrilled to have Taylor on board to benefit two very important causes. Not only will she will be an amazing addition to our lineup, she is an incredible inspiration to people of all ages and her music gives a voice to those who feel left behind.
