Today the RIM BlackBerry Curve 8900, a thin and light smartphone with a relatively high-resolution screen and a full QWERTY keyboard was made available to everyone.

The Curve 8900 was formerly known as the Javelin. It includes Wi-Fi b/g and Bluetooth,HVGA+ (480 by 360 pixel) display,quad-band GSM, it has a 512 MHz processor, GPS receiver, a 3.2 MPx camera, and a 1400 mAHr battery.

A 2.44-inch claims to be the thinnest and lightest BlackBerry with a full keyboard. It also includes a microSD card slot bundled with a 256 MB card.

The Curve 8900 is currently priced at $199.99 after a 2-year commitment and mail-in rebate. It was initially released on January 27, but only to the carrier's business customers.
