The Blacklist
Tom (Ryan Eggold, left) will try to make things right with Liz (Megan Boone, right) in episode 18 of "The Blacklist" Season 2. NBC

Episode 17 of “The Blacklist” Season 2 saw Red (James Spader) flirting with the secret to immortality – and unlocking Liz’s (Megan Boone) suppressed memories from the night of the fire. In episode 18, “Vanessa Cruz,” Red will be even more desperate to get Liz to reveal the location of the Fulcrum, but, someone else might get in the way.

The next target on Red’s blacklist is Vanessa Cruz (Ana de la Reguera). Cruz is a frame-up artist who prays on wealthy, high-class targets. Liz and the rest of the FBI team will be on the trail of the thief, but -- much like in episode 17 -- the real focus of the episode will be Tom Keen (Ryan Eggold).

According to the synopsis, Tom wants Liz’s help to get out of Washington D.C. alive. Liz came home at the end of episode 17 to find the covert operative waiting at her house. However, the promo for the episode reveals that Tom might want more than just help from Liz. The teaser shows the spy seemingly apologizing for everything he has done wrong and asking to start over. Liz appears ready to accept his apology too, claiming he could not have faked all the feeling between them in their marriage – there is even a shot of the couple kissing!

Is Tom playing her? Red seems to think so. He shows up to Liz’s house pointing a gun at Tom and looking very unhappy. The episode description also reveals that Red's need to know the location of the Fulcrum has become urgent, so he might not have too much patience for the happy couple.
