Blake Shelton took the stage during the 49th annual Country Music Association Awards on Wednesday. His performance came just hours after reports comfirmed hat he and fellow NBC's "The Voice" host Gwen Stefani are officially a couple. Shelton, 39, didn't let his new relationship status -- or the fact that his ex-wife Miranda Lambert was looking on from the audience -- shake his confidence.

The "Sangria" singer took the stage after several performances from country music stars, CMA nominees and even the show's hosts Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley. Prior to his appearance, Thomas Rhett teamed up with Fall Out Boy to perform "Crash and Burn" and "Uma Thurman" followed by a brief performance by Kelsea Ballerini. Shelton wowed the crowd with a performance of "Gonna."

Earlier in the night Shelton's social media team fired off a tweet warning fans to have their phones ready to tune into popular music app Shazam. He alerted followers the he was giving one lucky viewer the opportunity to win a trip to see him live and in concert.

Shelton was among the many nominees at the 2015 CMAs. He was up for Male Vocalist of the Year against Dierks Bentley, Luke Bryan, Eric Church and Chris Stapleton.
