It's supposed to be the happiest time of her life, but Steffy's pregnancy news is only causing her strife on "The Bold and the Beautiful." Now, after sharing the news with her father-in-law, she will find herself being forced to answer questions she doesn't want to as he demands answers from her on the Wednesday, Dec. 20 episode of the CBS soap.

Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) was stunned when her doctor informed her and Liam (Scott Clifton) that she was pregnant, and despite her history, was expected to carry the baby full term. However, her initial joy quickly turned to fear, as she remembered sleeping with Bill (Don Diamont). Now, as Liam has been celebrating the news that he will finally be a father, Steffy has been secretly panicking, because she may very well be expecting o deliver Liam a sibling—not a child of his own.

She finally went and shared the news with Bill, who was initially excited as well, until he remembered that they had slept together recently as well. Now, he is determined to find out whether or not Steffy is carrying either his child, or his first grandchild.

"Look at me!" He says in a preview clip. "There's a possibility that child is mine."

Steffy may be forced to admit that it is possible, but when Bill demands she get it confirmed, she will likely refuse. She knows doing so would ruin her relationship with Liam no matter what the results of a paternity test showed, because either way, testing proves she cheated and wasn't honest with him about it.

However, Bill will also remain determined, because he's become convinced since their night together that he and Steffy actually belong with one another, and he will see a baby as the proof he needs that she should be with him.

Meanwhile, both of Bill's ex-wives, Katie (Heather Tom) and Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang), will be discussing their own love lives, as Katie has finally come clean to her sister about her romance with Bill's other son, Wyatt (Darin Brooks). Brooke will warn her sister to be careful of Bill's wrath whenever he finds out, before divulging her own dilemma of Thorne (Ingo Rademacher) insisting she take back accepting Ridge's (Thorsten Kaye) proposal, because she should be with him instead. Knowing her sister can confuse easily, Katie will assure her picking Ridge was the right decision, and will tell her to make sure Thorne understands why she chose who she did.

"You have got to be crystal clear with Thorne that there is no chance that you're going to rekindle anything with him," she says in the clip.
