Bold and the Beautiful
Liam (Scott Clifton) stands by his decision after wyatt (Darin Brooks) questions if it was the right move on the Feb. 8, 2018 episode of "The Bold and the Beautiful." CBS

He finally decided that he couldn't bring himself to attend Ridge and Brooke's wedding in an attempt to try and work on reconciling his marriage with Steffy, and now, on the Thursday, Feb. 8 episode of "The Bold and the Beautiful," Liam will appear to stand by his decision when he's questioned about it.

After pressure from Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang), Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and Steffy (Jacqueline Wood) to attend the wedding on the CBS soap, Liam (Scott Clifton) considered it briefly, before finally calling Steffy ahead of the ceremony to let her know that he couldn't do it. Knowing it meant there was genuinely no hope he would ever forgive her for sleeping with Bill (Don Diamont), Steffy was crushed. In a moment showing that she is no longer trying to be her enemy, Hope (Annika Noelle) realized what was going on and switched seats at the wedding so Steffy wouldn't have to be alone.

Now though, Liam will find himself still defending the decision he made when Wyatt (Darin Brooks) arrives to check in on him and asks him if he really thinks he made the right decision.

"If I had gone to the wedding with Steffy, that would have given her hope," he says in a preview clip for the episode. "And honestly, I'm not sure there is any."

Though the hope had been that Liam would have attended the wedding with his pregnant wife, and that hearing the vows Brooke and ridge said to one another would inspire him to forgive Steffy for her indiscretion and reunite with her so they can be a true family with the baby they're having together, the fact that he opted out won't keep the couple who is getting married from feeling blissful.

Brooke and Ridge will appear deliriously happy as what is being touted as their final time getting married to one another (with the union lasting forever this time), continues at the Forrester Mansion, with even Carter (Lawrence St. Victor) indicating as he officiates that no one seems likely to object to their plans this time around.

"I can't imagine anyone having a problem with the love and commitment that we are celebrating here today," he says in the clip.

"The Bold and the Beautiful" airs weekdays at 1:30 p.m. EST on CBS.
