The end is nigh for Fox series “Bones.” The cast of Season 12 completed shooting yesterday. Filming for the series finale is over.

Several cast members shared photos of their last day on set. David Boreanaz, who plays FBI Agent Seeley Booth, shared a photo of the clapperboard (a board used before shooting a scene) that was used before shooting the last scene. His tweet spawned a series of reactions from fans who were either upset or thanked him and the cast for working hard on the TV show.

Michaela Conlin, who plays Angela in “Bones,” made a collage which showed her first and last day on set of the crime series. She called working on the show a “remarkable experience.”

Tamara Taylor, who essays the role of Dr. Camille Saroyan/Cam, also posted a picture of her last day on set. She took a photo of the entrance of her trailer. T.J. Thyne, who plays Hodgins, writer Kathy Reichs and other crew members shared photos of their last day on set on social media. Check them out below:

In other news, Fox shared an extended trailer of Season 12 (embedded below) which highlights the return of Brennan’s (Emily Deschanel) former assistant Zack Addy (Eric Millegan). It first traces Zack’s story from when he started working with Brennan to his most recent appearance in last season’s finale.

Zack abducted Brennan and took her to an unknown location. Although the final moments made it seem like he is the serial killer known as The Puppeteer, it wasn’t clear that he is indeed the mass murderer. For all “Bones” fans know, he is just trying to help the forensic anthropologist.

“Bones” Season 12, episode 1 premieres on Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2017 at 9 p.m. EST on Fox. The final season consists of only 12 episodes.
