Botswana president sees 5.7 percent growth for 2011
Botswana President Ian Khama said on Monday the southern African country's economy was expected to expand by 5.7 percent this year and 7.1 percent in 2012.
We are recovering from the worst effects of the recent global economic downturn, he told the country's parliament in a state of the nation address, which was e-mailed to Reuters.
Botswana's economy is heavily dependent on diamonds.
