It's been over a year since Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie split and there are rumors that they are getting close again. However, a new source claims that it's not true.

Radar Online reported that the "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" stars are getting back and are patching up their differences. One unnamed source told the publication that the "War Machine" actor plans to pursue his estranged wife and that the decision depends on Jolie.

"The holidays make Brad really sentimental about family but especially about their kids — he's still obsessed with spoiling them and still treats them like princesses and princes, and Angelina never had a problem with him spoiling them when he felt like it," the source said.

"Brad has changed a lot in the time since he and Angelina separated, and he definitely wants his big family back, but this is entirely Angelina's decision," the source continued.

The insider added that if the ex-couple will reconcile, it would boost their respective career. So, Pitt is allegedly planning to step out and publicly support the "Maleficent" star's film by showing up before the Golden Globes in January.

However, Gossip Cop debunks the first report. According to the publication, there is no evidence that supports the claims that the exes are "working out their differences" or that they are "getting close" again.

The publication noted that Pitt is not getting back with Jolie. The "Changeling" star has no intentions of reconciling with the "Allied" actor too. The outlet believes that the rumors sprang from Jolie's recent interview where she talked about her marriage with Pitt.

In a podcast with The Hollywood Reporter earlier this month, Jolie confessed that she is open about working with her ex-husband. She believes that they work well together.

"We had met working together and we worked together well," Jolie said. "I wanted us to do some serious work together, I thought it would be a good way for us to communicate. In some ways it was, and in some ways we learned some things. But there was a heaviness probably during that situation that carried on and it wasn't because of the film."

Jolie and Pitt's last film together is "By the Sea" in 2015. The flick is about a couple of 14 years who struggles with their troubled marriage due to lack of communication and intimacy.
