UPDATE 7 p.m. EDT: With 86 percent of the vote counted, Brazilian President Dilma Roussef led challenger Aecio Neves 40.5 percent to 34.8 percent, Reuters reported.

Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff will face a run off election later this month against centrist politician Aecio Neves, exit polls indicate. The BBC reported Rousseff garnered 44 percent of the vote to Neves' 30 percent.

Brazilians voted electronically and full results were expected shortly. More than 142 million people voted, the BBC said.
