UPDATE 12:17 p.m. EST: Authorities are now saying the gunman is contained, according to WKMG.

Original Story:

The Brevard County Courthouse in Florida is under lockdown late Friday morning after a gunman pointed a weapon at authorities.

The gunman was yelling at police, although it’s unclear what he was saying, Orlando television station WKMG reported. Aside from the courthouse, two local schools were locked down as a precaution.

The lockdown was instituted as a high-profile trial, the Brandon Bradley murder trial, was going into jury selection. Jury selection was halted in the case, according to WKMG. It’s unclear if the gunman incident is related to the trial.

Bradley is accused of the March 2012 killing of Brevard County Deputy Barbara Pill.
