However, while speaking with Sawyer, the reality star confessed that he no longer can live a lie as “Bruce” anymore.

This confession led Diane Sawyer to bring up the question that many have been asking: Is what Jenner revealed part of a bizarre promotion for E!’s reality series “Keeping Up With the Kardashians”?

“Oh no, we would never do that, Diane,” Jenner said with humor in his voice. But he quickly got serious, asking Sawyer if she truly believed he would go though a “complete gender change for the show.”

“Sorry, Diane,” he continued. “It ain’t happening.”

Bruce added that this is something that he has been going through his entire life. And although he’s been treated as a “joke” in the past, he revealed that there is a good reason why he’s telling his story now -- and part of it is in thanks to the success of “Keeping Up wWith the Kardashians.” He plans on using his celebrity status to help others.

“What I’m doing is going to do some good and we’re going to change the world,” he told her. “I really, firmly believe that. We’re going to make a difference in the world with what we’re doing.”
