BTS' Jungkook once again impressed judges in the latest episode of "King of Mask Singer."

After winning last week's round against "Archery Girl" "Fencing Man" faced another strong opponent on the Sunday, Aug. 14 broadcast of the MBC singing show.

The singer, who donned a silver mask and an all-white fencing ensemble, gave an emotional and stunning rendition of Bigbang's hit song "If You" from the "D" album of their "MADE" series. The judges had nothing but praise for the contestant, with one commentator saying he was too good of a singer to be an idol.

Despite the positive reaction his performance received, however, the Fencing Man did not manage to beat his opponent and thus had to take off his mask and reveal his identity. As BTS fans have been suspecting for weeks now, the Fencing Man did turn out to be the BigHit Entertainment group's main vocalist, Jungkook.

Jungkook opened up about the reason why he decided to compete on "King of Mask Singer," which recently featured INFINITE's L, GFRIEND's Eunha and Seventeen's DK. “I turned 20 this year. I came on the show because I wanted to have a coming-of-age ceremony, I’m still really lacking vocally," Jungkook said on the MBC show, via Soompi.

But while he may have lost in the second round, it seems Jungkook has achieved what he came to "King of Mask Singer" to do. After his performance, BTS' golden maknae shared, “I wanted to let everyone know that there is a boy that likes to sing. I’ll continue to grow and become a singer that melts hearts.”

Last week, BTS fans had already begun speculating that Jungkook was the Fencing Man even before his first performance on "King of Mask Singer." As the Fencing Man, he sang Ra.D's "I'm In Love" as a duet with his opponent, and fans couldn't help but notice how his vocal color, stage mannerisms and even his funny dances resemble that of the BTS member's.
