The seizure that led to Marcus Buff Bagwell's accident may have been caused by changed in medications by the former WCW wrestler, including his cutting back on pain pills.

He's been cutting back on taking certain medications, and he is on a medication right now for a bacteria that's in his system from another antibiotic, Buff Bagwell's wife told a 911 operator, according to TMZ. He's trying to cut back on pain pills, and maybe that's what's causing [the seizure].

Bagwell's wife said he had a seizure before under the same circumstances.

An eyewitness to the one-vehicle accident said Bagwell, 42, had a lot of blood on his face and was almost unconscious.

Bagwell flipped his Jeep several times on the Towne Lake Parkway and suffered broken bones in his neck and face and a broken jaw, Universal Championship Wrestling spokesman Ron Gossett told the Atlanta Journal Constitution.

Bagwell is in intensive care at WellStar Kennestone Hospital, the paper reported.

It appears a seizure may have been the cause of the accident.

Bagwell called his wife around 1:30 p.m. and advised her he was getting ready to have a seizure, TMZ reported.

Scott Norton, Bagwell's wrestling partner as part of the nWo duo Vicious and Delicious, tweeted Buff Bagwell is expected to recover from the accident.

Update on Marcus. He's going to be ok but keep him in your prayers for fast recovery, Norton said early Wednesday.

Bagwell was a popular World Championship Wrestling wrestler in the 1990s and was a five-time World Tag Team Champion in WCW.

He was a member of the nWo, or New World Order -- one of the most popular stable of professional wrestlers.

Bagwell had a brief stint with the World Wrestling Federation in 2001 and also made the rounds of independent wrestling circuits, such as the X Wrestling Federation and World Wrestling All-Stars.

Bagwell is a native of Marietta, Ga., where the 42-year-old wrestling star still makes his home.
