Busch Beer is hiring, but beer fans will have to step aside and give this job to the dogs as the brewer is looking for a chief tasting officer with four legs to taste its Busch Dog Brew.

The non-alcoholic brew, which sold out in just 24-hours at its debut last year, is made just for dogs with a bone broth so beer fans can “crack a cold one with their favorite canine companion.”

The lucky "top dog" chosen as the chief tasting officer will sit on Busch’s senior leadership team where they will need to have a discerning palate as they put their tasting skills to the test. Dog candidates will not only need to be good taste testers, but they will need to have an eye for quality control and serve as an ambassador for the Dog Brew and Busch’s social media channels.

Busch also suggests that the dog selected has a keen sense of smell and proficiency in English. The CTO will also need to help expand the flavor of the Dog Brew's portfolio.

The hired dog will get paid $20,000 for their efforts, in addition to perks such as pet healthcare coverage and free Busch Dog Brew.

“The reaction to Busch Dog Brew’s release last year was so overwhelmingly positive that we knew we had a big challenge in Year 2 to keep the momentum going. So to expand the brand this year, we needed a true expert in the space on our team,” Daniel Blake, vice president of Value Brands at Anheuser-Busch (BUD), said in a statement.

“We’re excited to give one qualified canine a real, paying job and to tap into their insider knowledge of our target consumer to expand Busch Dog Brew in 2021!” he added.

To apply, dog owners can post a picture of their pups on Busch’s Twitter, Instagram, or Facebook page, along with their qualifications and the hashtag #BuschCTOcontest. Entries must be received by April 28. Dog owners must be 21 years of age to enter their pets and must live in the U.S. or District of Columbia.

Busch’s Dog Brew is registered with the Association of American Feed Control Officials and is sold in four packs.

Shares of Anheuser-Busch were trading at $65.48 as of premarket hours on Wednesday, up $1.10 or 1.71%.
