Chris Evans and his pet dog had a sweet reunion.

On Sunday, Evans shared a clip on Twitter featuring his reunion with his pet dog, Dodger. In the short video, Evans is lying on the floor with Dodger on top who keeps on licking his face. "After 10 long weeks," Evans wrote in the caption.

Evans' fans were so entertained with the video. His girlfriends joked that they would do the same to the "Gifted" star if they would be away from him for 10 weeks. "I think if we're honest, that's how we'd all greet Chris after 10 weeks!" VO actress Susan Eisenberg commented. "I'd greet him like that after 20 seconds," cartoonist and illustrator Colleen Doran agreed.

According to Us Weekly, Evans had been counting down the weeks until the day that he would be reunited with his four-legged friend. Evans rescued Dodger in 2016 while they were filming "Gifted." His co-star McKenna Grace noted that one scene was filmed at an animal shelter and "the cast and crew adopted six animals: three dogs and three cats!"

Aside from finding a pet dog on the set of "Gifted," the "Avengers" star also had a short love affair with his co-star Jenny Slate. The two broke up before the movie was released, but there was no bad blood between the exes as they were all praises to each other.

Slate admitted that she never thought Evans would like her considering that he dated the types of Jessica Biel and Minka Kelly. When asked what she could say about her ex, the "Secret Life of Pets" star had nothing, but good words for the "Snowpiercer" star.

"He's really vulnerable, and he's really straightforward. He's like primary colors," Slate told Vulture about how she knew Evans. "He has beautiful, big, strong emotions, and he's really sure of them. It's just wonderful to be around. His heart is probably golden-colored, if you could paint it."

Evans, on the other hand, also praised his ex while noting that Slate is his "favorite human." "She's my favorite human," Evans told People. "She's so vulnerable, so honest, so interested in other people more than herself, she's incredibly compassionate, there's just nothing to not love about her."
